Cardinals

The post on the right is a slide show of the statues outside the new Cardinal Stadium in St. Louis. These are some of the players that have made the Cards one of the greatest National League teams in history. Its baseball season and St. Louis is a baseball town that really understands the meaning of the game. Someday Albert's statue will be in front of the stadium. The one non-Cardinal in the slide show is "Cool PaPa" Bell. He was one of the outstanding players in the Negro League and would have been a sure fire member of Cooperstown, if this country would have let him play in the Major Leagues.

How come none of my comments our on here? Are you denying them... or is it something with the site, like how Tiffy's first comment about the wine didn't go through. Just wondering!

Also, I stopped by and grabbed the cot yesterday and visited with Butchy.

Hope to see you guys Saturday!

Okay, I have to be a little more diligent about checking for messages. Until I review them they don't get posted.

it would have helped if albert and glaus played the game...they got the day off until the top of the 8th when they came into pinch hit during the cards' rally...of course, they walked albert to load the bases. Quin was just happy to see albert out there at some point during the game. afterwards, quin was able to go down on the field to run the bases..something they do after every sunday day game.
